If I ever had a restaurant, or other beverage-serving establishment, I would use colored bendy straws. They can't really cost all that much more than the boring plain straws, can they? And every time you got a drink, you would smile in anticipation, wondering which color straw you would get this time! I wouldn't even charge extra for the element of surprise ;-)
Also it is my half-birthday today :-)

I would offer baby food on the menu. How hard would it be to have some sweet potato and carrots all mashed up and ready to go?
Agreed! At my restaurant, I will have colored, preferably bendy, straws and baby food!
And if it is someone's birthday (or half-birthday) they should get one of those awesome plastic swirly straws to drink with and take home! :P
I wonder if they pose more of a health risk? Harder to sterilize, perhaps?
You mean initially harder to sterilize? I am thinking of disposable bendy straws, so sterilization after use wouldn't be an issue...
